Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear every week — flamingos, prices, kids, helmets and the rest.

Is this a Sahara desert experience?

No — and we're proud of that. Agadir is on the Atlantic, hours from the dunes. Our rides go through the village lanes of Aghroud Bensergao, under a eucalyptus forest and out to the Oued Souss estuary, where flamingos often gather. It's green, it's on the water, and it photographs beautifully.

Will we definitely see flamingos?

Honestly: no promises. Flamingos are wild, migratory birds and sightings are seasonal — many guests see whole flocks, some rides miss them. The river, the forest and the sunset are guaranteed; the pink extras are a bonus.

Do I need any riding experience?

None at all for camels — they kneel for you to climb on and a guide accompanies the caravan the whole way. For horses, beginners are led at a walk and reassured the whole time, while experienced riders can go faster on the open stretches. Tell us your level when you book.

How long does the ride last?

Camel rides are around 1–2 hours in the saddle; allow 2–4 hours door to door including hotel transfers, dressing up, photos and tea. Shorter family options and horse-ride timings are flexible — ask us.

How much does it cost?

Our camel-ride product on Tripadvisor/Viator starts from $24 per adult with free cancellation up to 24 hours. Direct prices vary with group size, ride length and season — message us on WhatsApp and we'll quote you today's exact price before you commit to anything.

Is hotel pickup included?

For most bookings we arrange a taxi from your hotel and send you the driver's name and number in advance. Confirm what's included in your package when you book, and we'll sort the return trip too.

Can children come?

Families are a big part of our week — there are lambs, goats and baby camels to meet at the ranch, and shorter rides for small kids. Tell us your children's ages on WhatsApp and we'll recommend the right ride.

Are helmets provided for horse riding?

Helmets are available for horse rides — mention sizes when you book so we have them ready.

When are you open, and when should I ride?

We operate daily, by reservation only — our own poster says it best: “must book in advance”. Morning and afternoon slots are easy-going; the sunset departure is the most requested and books out first. Same-day requests often work, but a day or two ahead is safer.

How do I book, change or cancel?

Book by WhatsApp (+212 7 17 18 27 59), by phone, or by Instagram DM — replies are fast. If you book our product via Tripadvisor/Viator instead, it comes with free cancellation up to 24 hours. For direct bookings, just message us about changes; we're flexible with travellers' plans.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable trousers, closed shoes, sunscreen and your phone with plenty of free storage — your guide will fill it with photos and videos. The traditional gandoura goes on over your clothes. Evenings by the river can be breezy; a light layer is a good idea.

What languages does the team speak?

English works perfectly, and you're welcome to write to us in French too — WhatsApp makes it easy either way.
