FAQ
Questions people actually ask.
If yours isn’t here, WhatsApp us or call +212 7 08 02 47 32 — you’ll get an answer from the house, not a call centre.
Do the rooms have private bathrooms?
No — and we say it upfront. All four rooms share bathrooms off the hallway (hot showers, WC, bidet, towels provided). The house hosts at most nine guests, so queues aren’t really a thing, and Booking.com guests rate cleanliness 9.8/10.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast arrangements can differ depending on where and when you book, so we won’t promise what your rate includes — confirm when booking or ask us directly. What we can tell you: it’s a continental-style rooftop spread with vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options, and guests rave about it.
Can we have dinner at the house?
Yes — Simo’s mother cooks a home-style three-course Moroccan dinner, ordered in advance and paid separately. Tell us early in your stay (or in your booking message) and we’ll plan an evening.
How do surf lessons work?
Simo coaches guests at Anza Beach, 2–5 minutes’ walk away, and brings a photographer so you can review photos and video of your session afterwards. All levels welcome, including absolute beginners. Message us with your level and dates for details and pricing.
Can you help with boards and wetsuits?
Equipment is part of the lesson setup, and we can help you get set up for free-surfing days too — tell us your height, weight and experience on WhatsApp and we’ll arrange what you need.
How do I get there from the airport?
Agadir–Al Massira Airport is about 27 km away (roughly 37 minutes by taxi). We can arrange an airport transfer for an extra charge — ask us when you book and we’ll confirm the price. Taxis are the standard way around Anza otherwise.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 2 pm to 10 pm; check-out by 11 am. Arriving early or leaving late? Luggage storage is free — and the rooftop doesn’t have a check-out time.
Is there Wi-Fi? Can I work from the house?
Free Wi-Fi covers the whole house, rooftop included. Between the ocean view and the mint tea, deadlines have been missed — you’ve been warned.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking at the house — handy if you’re road-tripping the coast.
What are the house rules?
The house is fully smoke-free, pets aren’t allowed, bachelor(ette)-style parties aren’t either, and the minimum check-in age is 18. It’s a family home — the rules exist so it stays feeling like one.
What about cancellation?
Cancellation terms depend on the rate and platform you book through — some rates are non-refundable, others cancel free. Check the conditions on your rate, or ask us before you book.
How do I pay?
Payment details depend on how you book — Booking.com rates follow their checkout, and for direct inquiries we’ll explain the options on WhatsApp before you commit.
Is Anza safe? Is there anything to do besides surf?
Guests describe Anza as “chill and safe” — it’s a lived-in local town, not a resort strip. Beyond surfing: beach walks (ask about the dinosaur footprints), great cheap food nearby, Agadir’s marina and Souk El Had 20 minutes away, Taghazout 24 minutes north, and day trips like sandboarding that Simo can help organise.
What languages are spoken at the house?
Arabic, English, French and Spanish.
